FYPF 102B.  First Year Seminar: Wicked: Perspectives From Oz   (3).

General education fine arts course. Examines Wicked through its musical and film forms to explore themes of perspective, morality, power and identity while learning to engage with expectations and strategies for personal and academic success at WSU. Students analyze storytelling techniques, music and social issues while developing critical and creative thinking through discussion, writing, presentation and reflective projects. First-Year Seminars do not meet a divisional requirement in the pre-Fall 2024 WSU General Education program, and can only be used in Bucket 7 for General Education starting Fall 2024.

FYPF 102C.  First-Year Seminar: Seminar in Creativity and Play: Yes, Really   (3).

General education fine arts course. First year seminar helps students better understand and appreciate the process of creativity and the value of play. Focuses on developing new ways of thinking creatively through play and practice. Provides opportunities to develop more creative thinking through exercises, projects and discussions. Learn techniques for improving flexibility and originality in thinking through hands-on activities and, if done right, have fun. First-Year Seminars do not meet a divisional requirement in the pre-Fall 2024 WSU General Education program, and can only be used in Bucket 7 for General Education starting Fall 2024.
