Admission
Applicants must hold a degree in music, music education or a related field. They must also have or currently be enrolled in a masters degree. In addition to the Graduate School requirements, applicants should submit one example of scholarly writing and a statement of purpose describing their interest in musicology and career goals.

The certificate in musicology culminates in the creation of one or more pieces of original scholarship in musicology or a related field (such as ethnomusicology or sound studies), completed in MUSC 874.
