High school sophomores, juniors or seniors may enroll in WSU classes as guest students and earn college credit for those courses until they graduate from high school (see Guest Students — High School). These classes are offered in three ways:

  1. Through concurrent enrollment a student may take course(s) with a WSU approved high school teacher at their local high school (applications for concurrent enrollment are provided through the high school class via WSU representative).
  2. Through dual enrollment, students may take courses with WSU faculty teaching courses dedicated to/for high school students (e.g. Shocker Academy1 at WSU West). Students taking dual enrollment courses MUST ensure high school graduation requirements are being met via their high school counselor.
  3. Through the high school guest program, high school students can attempt college credit in our normally scheduled and offered on-campus courses (at either the main, West or Old Town campuses) alongside college students.

Other summer opportunities for high school students at Wichita State include sports camps in basketball, baseball and volleyball, and enrichment courses for career exploration.
