Real Estate Emphasis
Wichita State University is the only regents university in Kansas that offers an undergraduate degree program in real estate. An emphasis in real estate can be earned through four different major programs, allowing students to tailor their real estate course work to their particular interests and career goals. The real estate emphasis is available with the following Barton School majors:
- Economics with an Emphasis in Real Estate: Designed to serve the needs of students interested in the broader conceptual and policy issues associated with real estate and land use.
- Entrepreneurship with an Emphasis in Real Estate: Designed for students interested in pursuing a career in property development or managing their own companies.
- Finance with an Emphasis in Real Estate: Designed for students with a particular interest in commercial banking, real estate asset management, real estate investment analysis or corporate real estate management.
- Marketing with an Emphasis in Real Estate: Designed to prepare students for a career in real estate marketing, particularly commercial and residential real estate brokerage, property management and real estate market analysis.
In addition, students can include real estate as one of their disciplines when earning a field major through the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
