BAS in Organizational Leadership and Learning
Admission
Prospective students interested in pursuing the BAS in organizational leadership and learning degree must meet all admission requirements by the WSU College of Applied Studies.
Program Requirements
A minimum total of 120 credit hours is required for the BAS in organizational leadership and learning degree and includes the 78 credit hours of major courses that must be completed with a minimum grade point average of 2.000. In addition to meeting the requirements of the WSU General Education Program and the requirements of the College of Applied Studies, students in the BAS in organizational leadership and learning degree choose from the following courses:

Departmental Honors
Honors Admission
Admissions requirements include:
- Status as an OLL major;
- Cumulative 3.250 GPA;
- A faculty letter of recommendation;
- A one-page, double-spaced letter describing reasons for applying to the honors track, goals and potential benefits to participating in the program; and
- Complete application cover form.
Honors Requirements
Students admitted to the OLL honors track must complete the following:
- Maintain a 3.500 cumulative GPA in OLL coursework;
- Enroll in and complete the honors assignments with a minimum of 12 credit hours of OLL coursework selected from the following options:
- LEAD 310H Principles of Leadership Honors (3 credit hours)
- LEAD 325H Equity and Leadership Honors (3 credit hours)
- HNRS 351 Survey of Leadership (3 credit hours)
- LEAD 405H Partnership Building for Leaders Honors (3 credit hours)
- LEAD 421H Organizational Design and Engagement I Honors (3 credit hours)
- LEAD 422H Organizational Design and Engagement II Honors (3 credit hours)
- Complete and present a student created senior project Honors Portfolio of assignments, activities and reflections geared towards the student's future career or graduate school goals by enrolling in 1 credit hour of LEAD 490H.
- LEAD 490H Leadership in Action Honors (1 credit hour)
- Actively participate in facilitated meetings with other OLL honors students.
Applied Learning
Students in the BAS in organizational leadership and learning program are required to complete an applied learning or research experience to graduate from the program. The requirement can be met by completing LEAD 600 Applied Studies Apprenticeship II. This culminating activity requires students to spend the equivalent of full-time employment in an appropriate organization where they document at least 640 hours.
